Na na na na hey hey hey “no amalgamation” carols CNVCouncil

Monday night city council in 86% unison, drove the final stake into amalgamation’s heart.  The following is a condensed version from Monday nights amalgamation discussion, crunching it down from 21 minutes to 8 1/2 minutes.  I possibly could have shortened it to 6 minutes or even extended it to 10 minutes.  So I’m hoping this will be an acceptable alternative worth your time.  #CNVunitedWEstand

And of course the NSRag did not disappoint, hanging on – editorializing that it is waiting for the District’s NRG study which will have absolutely no bearing towards the re-unification of our two cities any time soon.  CNVCouncil has emphatically rejected amalgamation regardless of this false alarm 600 robo call, online survey… and you won’t find it being entertained on “CNV” October election ballots.  #GameSetMatch

Noteworthy: The NSN is a “resident of CNV” whom unlike the District came to their rescue, relocating their offices and presses after their Lonsdale location went up in flames in 2005.  #CNVthereWhenYouNeedUs

From my POV the NSNews needs to change its name to something a little more befitting, representing their despicable Freedom Fighters CNV discourse.  How about “The District Trojan Crier”… it has a quantified ring to it don’t you think.  #NSNeditorialConspiracy  #boycottNSNews

May’s Sunday Editorial Funny…

I’ve been asked a number of times… do your love bird seagulls have names – not yet.  If anyone has any suggestions would certainly entertain them and would give due credit in an upcoming seagull themed blog.

Re: City Electoral Signs; it has been brought to my attention that last Monday night’s city election bylaws and update re:  “Sign Bylaw, 1992, No. 6363” (not the 8643 Elections Assent Voting bylaw).  i.e. Limits (prohibits) pre-election campaign materials has already been contested and defeated in BC court and was found to be in breach of S.2(b) of the Charter of Freedoms and Rights!   It appears campaign advertising on bike signs or even at bus stop shelters prior the six week election period does not break any laws… however it appears the City has, namely our constitution! (more on Monday)   #ConstitutionalSignBylawViolations

Let the free-for-all sign wars begin!
