Item 21 on tonight’s fight card agenda… on your mark, get set and recuse yourself from voting against what you have willingly voted for: to screw taxpayers!

First and foremost my heart, prayers and condolences to those directly and indirectly effected by the tragic Humboldt Broncos bus accident that took the dreams away from so many young players, coaches, statistician, radio broadcaster and team bus driver.  An unimaginable, devastation loss of lives, left asking why?  #HumboldtStrong

Meanwhile… Tonight’s agenda card is really a half deck full of funding appropriations and carelessly looking into a murky crystal ball that is able to miraculously concoct a Financial Plan for the Years 2018 to 2027 Bylaw.  And this to me is what is wrong with our city governance when it comes to city business and property taxes and operating expenditures including dead in the water without a plebiscite appropriation funding for the Harry Jerome Neighourhood Lands Development Plan.

We need to after Oct. 20th overturn this bylaw and make it into an over-site guideline subject to many “unforeseen” economic topsy-turvy conditions.  Especially when you consider the growing unaffordability of our city for far too many, businesses unable to find dependable staff and gridlock traffic negatively impacting commuter destinations.  Our city’s ranking is down to #72 ‘Best Place to Live in Canada’ for good reason.  We shouldn’t be financially scheduling our eggs 5 to 10 years from now as we do not know how many will actually hatch.  #cnvSOL

For me the obvious highlight of the night will be how in a public surround will mayor Mussatto vote regarding Councillor Clark’s #21 agenda motion: to write to the Metro Vancouver Board to express strong opposition to these changes and request repeal.  Don’t be surprised if the mayor recuses himself and runs to the safety of his non threatening mayor’s office.  But what will be more interesting is how will his Team Slate Hijackers councillors wannabe mayor Buchanan, non city resident Back looking for re-election and councillor usually MIA and not seeking re-election Keating vote on this motion, again if he shows up.

Worst case scenario city councillors surrender to a draw, a damning stalemate without the mayor’s vote…  And will the camera pull to a wide shot so we can see how EACH COUNCILLOR VOTED… Imperative to many residents in how they will be casting their vote for or against any councillors running for re-election on October 20th.  #Vote4Change

Welcome to Monday Night City Council Replay. First up “A couple of strange bedfellows”

First kudos to our Canadian Paralympic Team in South Korea – capturing 28 medals!  Only one less than our Canadian Olympic Team  http://www.cbc.ca/sports/paralympics/paralympics-closing-wrap-1.4581555

Compositing these videos has been a challenge as with the new audio/video format the video streaming colour temperature is tinting facial skin tones purple.  And the audio especially off the top never sounds ready and cuts out during (ironically) Public Input Period.

But not last Monday as out of the 15 or so who signed up for public input WTF 4 were conveniently developers or pro Mussatto supporters/donors who were selling their project wares for city council approval.  It should be noted that NDP Moneybags Craig Keating who seems to only attend council meetings when the mayor needs “a majority” to enforce his “4 to 3” Team Hijackers empowerment “kiboshed” having more than 5 speakers at the 6:39 mark!  And of course there was NO wide shot or 3 group shot of Councillor Keating voting against! (despicable camera work)

IF elected to city council I would really like to see Public Input Period changed to “Neighbourhood Input Period”.  And of course stop having city council meetings on is it a holiday or not this Monday.  This would give everyone one more day to examine and digest the contents of any agenda posted the prior Friday.

So without further adieu here is my first of 3 or 4 video replay excerpts from the March 12 Monday night city council fight card.
