Incredulous Millennium Properties new Condo Development is a good fit for our mayor’s fire sale in never having enough density for our city!


The Public Hearing for a new massive condo/commercial development to further compromise pedestrian, traffic and rear lane access flows in and around our critical Police, Fire and EMS Lego Block was overwhelmingly approved somewhere around 10 to 1, mostly by those who actually DO NOT LIVE in the neighbourhood.  They must have a death wish wanting to cross paths with fire trucks, police cars and ambulances.  And or going deaf i.e. of unsound mind in wanting to further jeopardize our emergency vehicle operations at an already highly congested Lonsdale and St. Georges block… awe the sounds of our mayor’s Manhattan CityShaping fornication!  #NIMBYdisconnect  #Vote4ChangeOct20

Our developer donor indebted mayor and “unelected” city clerk, new CEO and in-Epp OCP Planning Director have had more than enough time since July 23rd’s last meeting to over agenda-size and proceed to ramrod their hyper-density agenda through tonight’s expected (yawn) city council 4 1/2 to 5 hour meeting.  And don’t expect the 3 remaining city council meetings to show any less mercy when it comes to pushing through the mayor’s Manhattan CityShaping final and Last Testament…. all aboard.

This weekend is your last chance to catch your breath before the onslaught of density projects by our non compos mentis density-struct mayor MASSatto.  While our anti NIMBY City Planners and newbie via Edmonton CEO Ms. McCarthy are all aboard for this city council’s final push for: more density, to hell with road infrastructures – foutre de congestion traffic and let’s keep evicting MORE RENTERS for our mayor’s Manhattan CityShaping legacy.

The 10/10/10 or is it 10/maybe20/perpetuity renter bullshit is not going to attract many new or entice previous renters to: come back y’all to one of our upcoming 2019-21 market value rental projects.  The below market value rentals within will still rob young families, seniors $2K+ a month of their monthly hard earned income or pension.  And now further jacked-up by our NDP’s (MLA Ma) 2019 landlord fee increase from 4 to 4.5%!

And lest we shall never forget this entire City Council under Mayor Grinch’s cunning said NO to the previous Clark government’s $500 million Low Cost Housing Program that the City of Vancouver and the District mayor’s “welcomed.”  Now these same reprobates are saying in an election year: “low income affordable housing can truly only come from provincial or federal intervention” which they ALL LAST YEAR DECLINED!  #CityCouncilHypocrites  #despicalbles  #disingenuous

If anything you have to hand it to mayor Darrell R. Mussatto, for he did it his way.  His empowered “4 to 3” elected Team Slate enabled him to coerce behind closed doors his en mass fornicating CityShaping and psycho-ling path agenda into every corner and all points within our enclaved city.  The lack luster turnout in our last election was all Mussatto needed to turn our city into an unaffordable, congested, irreversible Manhattan backlot heading into the next decade!  #cnvSOL

And now mayor Mussatto has Councillor Linda Buchanan waiting in the wings – raring to complete his en masse CityShaping Manhattan Project.  Also don’t let wannabe night-mayor Buchanan trip you up in believing she just now decided “this year” to run for mayor.  She actually made it known TWO YEARS AGO as I then illustrated in a number of blogs.  #hocuspocusBuchanan

But what is disingenuously quite clear is the mayor did not announce he was retiring from City Hall governance until March of this year.  Which is WTF: well after Buchanan’s initial announcement TWO YEARS AGO!  They BOTH KNEW back in the summer of 2016 Density Darrell was not running for re-election!  There is no way anyone could ever convince me Buchanan would dare run against her density idle.  DRM had already made up his mind NOT TO RUN for re-election as far back as the summer of 2016! #hocuspocusMussatto

Our Oct 20 elected city officials need to be 100% “Transparent” and “Accountable” in order to gain back “Public Trust” i.e. INTEGRITY forsaken by Mussatto’s Team Slate and his Horsetrader Councillors!

His four measures: 1. Time for cooling-off rules, 2. Tighten conflict of interest, 3. Implement lobbyist registry, 4. Daylight campaign financing – which from my POV should be mandatory in our upcoming city elections – wouldn’t you agree wannabe mayor Linda Buchanan.

Measures asserting transparent democracy back into our local politics…  Which of course will never see the light of day, in any of our remaining four: good riddance 2014 convoluting city council meetings.

Perhaps & wishful thinking on my part, there is a “Team Slate free, independent, no strings attached mayoral candidate” willing to step forward, vested in open door policies & morally encompassed governance.  A breath of fresh air currently being smoke screened by our 2018 team slate coalitions and precarious team-like associations.

When it comes to housing affordability on the North Shore much like in Vancouver City; it is becoming more and more unattainable for our seniors/pensioners, fixed and low income earners and yes our Millennials and generations thereafter.  The reality and future economic and social wellness of our city is in dire straits with not only small business leaving or considering to leave but so are our Millennials having had enough!  Unwilling to pay soaring rents with no return on their investment with up to 4% rental hikes each and every year thereafter…  #time4millennialsMoveOn

When Anthem gets around building their faulty tower market valued apartment building in 3 years and given how construction costs keep rocketing skyward, rents should be hovering around $3,000 for a two bedroom.  Take 10% off 3K and rent will still be at an unaffordable $2,700!  And what these nincompoops keep avoiding is EVERY YEAR everyone of these rental units will have their rent increased by up to 4% each and every year thereafter!  I for one as a senior could never afford one of these hoity toity 10/10/10 units even it they were for perpetuity!   What our infamous city council is really offering in low income rental units is: 10/10+4/10!

And I also see in the news the other day oh boy, the Bolshevik District Council lead by Bolshie Bassam just don’t know when to quit.  Willing to throw away $100K towards a reunification study that would hopefully lead to an amalgamation plebiscite after their new October 20th District Council has been elected.  With the belief of course Bolshie will be at the helm and CNV will elect maybe pro amalgamation Guy Heywood as mayor with enough pro Bolshevik elected city councillors to overturn our existing city council’s nixing of amalgamation.  #NoHopeInHell
