Last Wednesday CKNW’s meet your ‘Mayor Day’ noon-er featured our one and only infamous mayor Density Darrell Mussatto. Host Simi Sara initiated the opening conversation tagging him as Density Darrell.
Double D was cornered over his gentrified James Dean crash n’ displace unaffordable housing agenda. Then shrugging it off off by trumpeting his city’s “Manhattan CityShaping Tomorrow Land” at the expense of today’s NIMBY communities… Yet oddly enough he needed someone to further gloss-over his reckless inane density push to the finish line in hour two.
In hour two CKNW Mayor’s Day became the “Lower Lonsdale BIA Day” with Greg Holmes substantiating the impulsive need for all the en mass Lower Lonsdale erections. Followed by and sounding like he was swearing on a stack of bibles; he could only find THREE PEOPLE WHO WERE NOT ONSIDE for all the disruptive ongoing construction and noise pollution on the waterfront… Don’t be surprised if there are more than just three disgruntled LL residents come election night Holmie. #bullshit
Update: On this beautiful rainy morn did anyone see mayor Mussatto or Buchanan out and about riding their bikes – of course not… The number cycling to work was noticeably down this morning. How could that possible be Mussatto, Buchanan? #OverLoadedCityBuses
With so little new business being offered by city council since the new year, one should wonder “what’s going on.” Could it be we really have run out of real estate and all that is really left for our mayor’s “Grinch” legacy is where to put his campaign IOU Tom Nellis’ and BCLC’s casino. But just where do you put it with so few options left available… maybe for starters one of the following options: “A” or “B”.
And lest we forget the casino has already been democratically knocked out in a 5 to 2 decision in a 2015 city council meeting. The overturning of a defeated casino can only further seal our mayor’s Napoleonic infamy – his “I.O.U. Waterloo.”
And keep in mind wannabe mayor Linda Buchanan was one of the city councillor’s who changed her vote, largely because the new proposal isn’t related to the Shipyards or any other public (Presentation House) lands. Buchanan: “The previous application was very specifically wanting to go on public property and we were very adamant, and I’m still very adamant, I would not support anything being on our waterfront.” Thereby this option is not in the cards for councillor Buchanan who received a campaign donation from Pinnacle aka RPGM De Cotiis family and K&T Properties Tom Nellis and from oh so many more developers she indebted herself. http://contributions.electionsbc.gov.bc.ca/pcs/lepublished/100122857.pdf
And how could I not… move over “rap crap”
