Mirror, mirror on the wall how deep is the mayor into his own falsehoods and does he truly believe we are that gullible.

Onni’s Lucky the camel is once again getting caught up in controversy this time by our mayor’s “insistence” in blaming the bronze one hump Dromedary statue [wishing it was a historical correct two hump Bactrian camel] as why he should be excused from his derogatory remarks comparing tight fitting women’s clothing in the vulva area as elephant feet er camel toe  #MeToo

A controversy much like his ‘aggressive agenda warning’ as he was shutting down city council chambers for 2017.  Tonight’s Monday Night Fight Card is tame, the calm before the storm with only one aggressive and contentious agenda issue.  Our mayor and most of city council sucking up to HUB’s request to adapt the Crosswalk Use by Cyclists and Street Occupancy Permits Bylaw: “elephant feet strips” or as our mayor likes to point out are interchangeable, they’re like camel toes.

How is it that the mayor can so adamantly declare ignorance in not ever knowing the meaning of ‘camel toes’ as reported in the The Global Canadian Newspaper.  Why didn’t he use the same comparison referring to them as crosswalk camel feet ?  Has he not been around the Onni camel long enough to realize this “life-like” camel does not have toes rather hooves!  You decide from this clip I grabbed from last Dec. 11th meeting in question picturing the mayor laughing at his own self gratifying vulgar remarks.  And joining in is smilin’ CAO Ken Tollstam and looking down at her notes seemingly amused by the mayor’s reference is City Clerk Karla Graham.

WARNING the following video insert graphic may be offensive to some and have self-rated it ‘R’ and is not intended to be offensive to women.  Rather only to depict just how disingenuous our mayor is in wanting us to “believe” he thinks camel’s have toes and not hoof feet.

Heads we lose, tails we lose… it’s going to be that kind of a year as our mayor puts his final nails in our city’s over density coffin

The only real winners this year until October 20 will be  the mayor, his infamous city slate councillors ramming and jamming their density and cycling agenda down our throats… and supporters of a casino to be located in a community’s front yard near you.

A look back at my evolutionary “remake” of our infamous mayor sitting on his chamber’s throne since 2015

Are you ready to rumble err densify our city MORE! Full Steam Ahead: CNV’s 47% Demovict Solution

And away we go… tonight city council will be reveling: offering up MORE DENSITY continuing their NIMBY DISCONNECT.  Offering MORE condo high rises, MORE highfalutin market value rental housing.  All is great, empowered “4 to 3” in MASSatto Land, except uh…

The latest censure numbers have our lofty city pegged BELOW the National and Provincial Household Median income levels!  And one way our mayor and city council can bring us up – meet National and Provincial income levels is by continuing to demovict fixed/low income, seniors and young families from our city.   Approving and building housing only the mayor’s opulent and his 3 despicables can afford!  And isn’t it ironic our mayor gave our CAO Tollstom this year a $86K bonus “Moving on up to the North Shore Aristocracy.”   #Demovict  #CNV47%solution

But hold on to your hat
, the real main event tonight will be Councillor Bell’s two submitted Notices of Motions:

#11.  Local Government Election Campaign Financing – File: 09-4200-01-0001/2017
RECOMMENDATION:
WHEREAS corporate or union donations are prohibited for federal government political candidates and political parties;
WHEREAS the new NDP BC Provincial Government has indicated it will introduce legislation to prohibit corporate or union campaign donations to BC Provincial candidates and political parties;
WHEREAS the intention of removing any appearance of potential political influence or conflict of such donations is understood and supported at the senior levels of government, the same should apply at the local government level;
AND WHEREAS Union of BC Municipalities’ (UBCM) Resolution No. A1, “Local Government Election Campaign Financing”, requests the Provincial Government to pass legislation extending these restrictions on corporate or union donations to the local government level;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the City of North Vancouver go on record as supporting UBCM Resolution A1, which reads as follows:
“WHEREAS there are currently no limits on election campaign donations or restrictions on corporate or union donations for local government elections;
AND WHEREAS all major political parties have committed to enacting some form of electoral finance reform for provincial elections in the coming term;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that should the Provincial Government make changes to provincial campaign finance regulations to limit and restrict campaign donations, those changes be extended to include campaign finance regulations for local government.”
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT Council of the City of North Vancouver recognizes that individual Council members attending the UBCM convention as delegates reserve the right to vote as they choose when Resolution A1, or any resolution, is debated and considered by the convention delegates.

12. Tax Receipts for Local Election Campaigns – File: 09-4200-01-0001/2017
RECOMMENDATION:
WHEREAS fundraising for election campaigns is a necessity for most municipal candidates running for election;
AND WHEREAS persons contributing to federal or provincial candidates for election can receive a tax receipt for their contribution, but not for municipal candidates; potentially creating a disincentive for persons to contribute to municipal candidates’ campaigns;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Union of BC Municipalities (UBCM) lobby the Provincial government to allow tax receipts for persons who contribute to candidates who run in municipal elections, similar to that provided to contributors to candidates who run provincially or federally;
AND FURTHER THAT this proposed resolution be forwarded to the *UBCM 2017 by September 22, 2017 for consideration as a Late Resolution. (*UBCM; Union of BC Municipalities)

…What do you think the odds are that Councillor wannabe night-mayor Buchanan OBJECTS along with councillors Back and Keating: aka BC NDP President.  Will Keating vote NAY against motions oh so similar to his “own Party’s” upcoming “Political donation BAN LIMITING corporate and union contributions to $1,200″.  Including “Money Bags” Keating’s fav: “civic campaign in-kind contributions?”… stay tuned  #CNVtyranny

Mayor Mussatto’s Proverbial “Inconvenient Truth” Realized Once Again!

And on it goes… so many of our communities being turned upside down, longtime residents  being displaced, abandoned by our psycho-ling path mayor who thinks all is great in his fornicating concrete Shangri-la.

The following is based on an encounter our bought and paid for mayor had earlier in the week.  Doing what he does best i.e. vaingloriously steadfast in self-denial, running away from conflict,  turning his back on its very backbone.  Archetypal whom shaped our city – welcoming all.  Imaginaries whom can no longer afford to live in MASSatto’s dystopia.

#UnaffordableHousing  #RunningForCover

Warning: MASSatto Mania is about to get higher and denser!

Our Grinch-like mayor and his 3 lackey team city councillors since being re-elected in late 2014 have repeatedly pillaged our city’s sense of a community for all, now unable and no longer welcoming low and fixed income residents and part-timers looking for cheap rent wanting to work in our retail and restaurant establishments.  While more and more seniors and Millennial families are exiting our city – decisively opting for a “qualitative and affordable lifestyle elsewhere.”

I know I am sounding like a broken record but most of our inner city traffic congestion, density pollution, and parking shortages is due to 4 vainglorious self-serving city officials: mayor Mussatto and his team councillors: wannabe night-mayor Buchanan, Holly and Keating all whom have continually voted and bonused EVERY NEW HIGH RISE DEVELOPMENT WITHOUT SUFFICIENT PARKING.  And all the while backed by their $86K bonused CAO and accommodating OCP density fornicating management teams.

And NOT ONCE did any of  these hare-brains prior or after voting “4 to 3” for EVERY NEW DEVELOPMENT display any genuine concern – rather seemingly to care less about the HUNDREDS of longtime residents they were about to DISPLACE.  Never once offering to CONSTRUCT in 2015/16 any short term alternative/temporary low cost housing relief!  (not our city’s problem huh councillor Keating)

If your (family) income is less than $60/70K you need not apply.  We have become a city only the MASSatto wealthy can only truly appreciate.

August most viewed and then there was this bronze four-legged controversy… something right out of the Mussatto’s Twilight Zone.

Though there were no city council meetings in August of course, of course.  City residents were expressing to me all the while about the seemingly endless, en mass maddening construction sites and shrinking retail/commercial parking spaces.  And as city council headed into summer break there were city councillors willfully wanting to build a new Harry Jerome Enchilada Mega Dome whereby the trade-off is WTF: MORE DENSITY.  OMDB!   #EnoughDensity

Also in August though I did not publish this until ‘September 1st’… out of  the blue appeared this bronze four legged one hump camel placed in front of Onni’s no earthquake zone at ground zero twin towers on the corner of Lonsdale and 13th.  A precariously out-of-place beautifully carved bronze camel misrepresenting the type of camels used by our north shore miners during the mid 1800’s mini gold rush.  It has since been hoarded i.e. boarded-up until a plaque is made that will somehow explain away the fact that his is NOT the breed of camel used back in the day… can’t wait for the city’s derelict explanation via the art jury’s decision being so grotesquely negligent.
